Although this is more about getting a fresh install of WinXP Tablet PC edition loaded, you might want to check the link below. Look towards the end of the thread for reports of X60 tablet users trying it.

Re: FOR SALE - X60 Tablet PC - 6366-8KU with 2GB RAM
Greg,
If you had put that up on the marketplace a week earlier I would have said "I'll take it!" instantly and saved myself some money doing so, too...I've already got mine now.
A good deal for some lucky person!

X60T networking vs. VMWare Workstation
Has anyone else had trouble installing VMWare Workstation on their X60/X60 Tablet? Tonight I installed it for the first time on my new X60 tablet, and my network functions went down the tube immediately after installing it. At first I thought the virtual host adapters it installed might be the issue...

As an example, I'll be sticking one of these into my X60 Tablet (8KU) next week:

Hold on... This post implies that only the Multitouch screens have outdoor visibility. I thought all the the new X60t screen options will be outdoor-able??? So the 12.1"SXGA TFT screen option doesn't have the extra brightness for outdoors ??? If that's true, I am shattered, because the order I have...

Re: X60 Tablet screen options and outside use
My question: Have there been any videos which compare the performance of various screen options of the X60 Tablet when used in daylight conditions? Not that I know of, but you could ask the GottaBeMobile.com folks for a comparison. On your suggestion I just posted my question over on the GBM forums...

X60 Tablet screen options and outside use
My question: Have there been any videos which compare the performance of various screen options of the X60 Tablet when used in daylight conditions? I've just watched the GottaBeMobile.com video in which the multiview/multitouch indoor/outdoor screen option was shown outside. It looked much better th...

The zealotry of moderator et al here for Lenovo is quite astounding. As a new user here, I'd like to chime in and say that the only thing astounding here is your use of hyperbole. If the moderators were such zealots as you suggest, it's unlikely that they would quote (repeat) your comments in their...

Re: Does Size Really Matter?
But what kind of software/data are people using/storing that requires a 100 or 100+ gb drive? Development copies of production databases, reams of source code, Microsoft & other vendor development tools, etc. MP3s I burn to DVDs so that I can have a large portable collection w/o taking up drive spa...

Bill, Thanks for the info. After cruising around on various sites I found a separate "part #" 41C9342 which is the two combined, for 3 years. Because the purchasing website I have to use (mandated by company policy here) is somewhat disfunctional it's hard to find anything without the part #. Thanks...

9x5 on-site warranty extension vs. thinkpad protection?
Hi guys, I'm new here. I'm currently pricing out a Thinkpad for work (2687D5U), and one thing that isn't clear to me is if I need to order both the 3yr 9x5 on-site warranty extension AND 3yr 9x5 on-site Thinkpad protection (IBM/Lenovo mfr # 41C9176 and 41C9340 respectively) to make sure I have on-si...
