ok i gave up on trying to fix and did a restore from the hidden part. every thing seems ok for a few days. Then blam!

It stopped getting an IP again.

Every thing in that link pointed to XP and I have vista ultimate.


I think it has somthing to do with the firewall and norton.

I do not think there is any way fix this heat issue it is just a bad design. I switch to there Z61t its little bigger but no heat issue. I guess they did not think about putting the wireless card under the palm rest when there were designing it Maybe a new X61 will fix this issue. Sucks for all the ...

On models with the Cingluar card there should be a SIMM slot under the Main battery. Remove the battery an look near the gold contact pins for the battery. There was firmware upgrade on the web site for some Hitachi drives. They never really say what might happen but I could only assume data loss. I think they use a SATA HDD contoler with a PATA bridge. You need to have a 64-bit CPU to use 64-bit windows.

I think T60's only have 32-bit CPU's.
