Re: REVIEW

Count me as another satisfied (second) user. I sourced a red AMD edge for my wife, and we like it a lot. Really solid (my t60 is creakier), lightweight, lovely keyboard, bright screen. Battery life could turn out to be a fly in the ointment, we haven't got a measure on it yet, but that's the risk we...

Re: Buying a Thinkpad Edge

Hi folks, I live in Australia, and I'm looking to purchase an Intel Thinkpad Edge. Unfortunately, the Lenovo website here only offers it in matte black, while the American site doesn't appear to offer it in anything other than matte or glossy black. My question is: does a red edition of the Intel m...

Re: T60 HDD Bay Adaptor

The serial ATA hard drive adaptor that I bought (in the UK) for my T60 did not come with a caddy. It is I assume, part number 40Y8725. Sorry I really should have checked, however, if you look at the hard drives for sale via the Lenovo site, you'll see that each comes in a caddy and hence (I believe)...

Re: T60 HDD Bay Adaptor

A third party hard drive will require a caddy, it will flop around in the adapter otherwise. See the newmodeus advert at the top of the page.

Re: Freaky fingerprint reader

I confess that the fingerprint reader is a bit gimmicky and I could live without it - and I didn't purchase this particular t60 specifically for it, however, it's there and so I expect it to work.

Freaky fingerprint reader

Hi folks, I've searched but can't find anything that sheds light on the problem I'm having with my T60 (2007FVG running XP). I've configured a power-on password and enabled fingerprint access. When I turn the unit on I get the pre boot fingerprint dialog as required. However, it is often unresponsiv...

Battery capacity

Can anyone tell me the amp/hours capacity of the 6 cell battery? The Lenovo site is less than helpful.

Thanks,

Thanks for the comments. Sounds like my assembly is fine and I'm glad I'm not the only one to find the left top corner a hassle.

I did disassemble the whole thing and put it together again when I first noticed it. It all clicks into place convincingly and the screws go in easily - too many more times they'll come out easily too! I think it's okay, I was just hoping some other t60 15" owners could confirm that there's a bit of...

t60 15" palmrest query

Hi folks, I've just upgraded the ram in my 15" t60 and I want to confirm that I've got the darned palm rest back on correctly. Everything seems to have snapped into place and it feels solid, however the front edge/seam can be seen to gradually bow up by about a millimeter in the middle. I would expe...
