Hey, could you double check your specs, the model number (3626-WP1) indicates that it's a i3-370M.

Re: X2xx/X30x Shipping thread
So my X220 arrived yesterday 06/15. SSD is a Intel 160 G2. BIOS version is 1.15. I haven't tried to throttle lock it yet as I'm sure it'll have the same problem as everyone else. I'll just wait for the BIOS upgrade or the motherboard swap. The trackpad does indeed SUCK. I hate the integrated buttons...

Just got another email saying my X220 is shipping today...man, they're all over the map with these ship dates.
I'll update once I get with which SSD they're sending me.

Re: X2xx/X30x Shipping thread
Ordered mine on 05/16 and just received an email a few days ago saying my order is delayed and that there's going to be a new estimated date. I checked today and they don't even have a estimated date now! Must be the Intel 160GB SSD that's delaying my order. My X220 is going to be already out of dat...

Re: T60p UXGA versus X220 IPS?
I have a T60P that I'll be able to compare my X220 Premium against once I get it. For me, I'm going from a X301 to the X220 so it's not a huge loss in pixels but it's still a loss. I'm hoping that the IPS screen (and the HUGE processor speed bump) will make up for it as the X301's screen isn't the b...

Re: X2xx/X30x Shipping thread
Just ordered my X220 (i7-2620M, 4GB Single DIMM, Premium, Intel 6502, Intel 160GB SSD, FP, BT, Camera, 9 cell) today. Estimated ship date is 06/06/11. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to "downgrade" the battery to a 6-cell so if any of you are getting a X220 with a 6-cell and want 9-cell upgrade, check ...

WTT: X220 NEW 9-Cell battery for a NEW 6-Cell battery
Hey guys, I just ordered a X220 but I was forced to buy a 9-cell battery with it I need portability more than battery life. If someone has a NEW (0 cycle) 6-Cell they'd like to exchange straight across, LMK. Thanks!

Re: Cleaning X301
I use Green Works (Clorox product) Natural All Purpose Cleaner...because it's free for me.
I would imagine that any cleaner that cuts oils/grease (like Windex even....use the NON-ammonia version) would work just fine.

Why can't Lenovo just make it REAL SIMPLE and just bring out a X302?

Re: X301 + Windows 7 Pro 64-bit + 4GB RAM = 2.96GB RAM?
Ok, just to update this thread and bring closure, I figured out how to get my RAM back through another forum. Apparently, I'm not the only person having this issue and it's not a problem that's related to the X301, it's a Windows 7 issue so if you have this problem, do this: MSCONFIG => BOOT tab => ...

Re: X301 + Windows 7 Pro 64-bit + 4GB RAM = 2.96GB RAM?
Ah, that would have sucked if I would have bricked my X301. Ok, so I looked at every option in the BIOS setup and there was nothing that I could see that would help with the missing gig of RAM. So now I wonder if this is a Win7 issue or a hardware issue...

Re: X301 + Windows 7 Pro 64-bit + 4GB RAM = 2.96GB RAM?
I did do the 64-bit flash recently using the .exe, not the .iso but this was a problem before the recent BIOS update. I will try the .iso version but out of curiousity, how does the .iso version vs. the .exe version differ?

Intel GPU - At first, that's what I assumed but then I thought that 1GB was a LOT of RAM for the Intel CPU
RAM - Yeah, I added the RAM myself. In System Properties and in the BIOS, it shows 4GB installed.

Nope, no RamDisk or anything that I know of that is allocating RAM for itself...visionviper wrote:Is there anything you are using that may allocate ram for itself?
Are you using any software like RamDisk (which creates a drive in Windows using RAM) or any other software that may do something similar?

X301 + Windows 7 Pro 64-bit + 4GB RAM = 2.96GB RAM?
Ok, there's probably a simple answer to this and I'm probably dumb for not figuring it out myself but I was looking at my System Properties and I just noticed that my X301 with Windows 7 Pro 64-bit shows only 2.96GB usable RAM (4GB installed)...why am I hitting a 32-bit RAM limitation on my 64-bit s...

Re: T42 - Sporatic crashing....help?
Ah, thanks for that bit of info. Speaking of jmp1802, I learned something new today...when you reset the BIOS (and I assume when you re-flash it), it makes the jmp1802 mod go away. I had to uninstall the card, run jmp1802 and then reinstall the card. I'm actually happy to know this so if I ever get ...

Re: T42 - Sporatic crashing....help?
So my guess is that the original WiFi might have some issues or it just didn't want to stay seated since I know I seated it properly when I had previously re-installed it. I tried two different things...First, I reseated the original MPCI WiFi card and put a small Post-It note to cover the antenna c...

Ok, here's an even more odd thing...so the T42 started blacking out more often. I could get it to black out by just touching/flexing it pretty much anywhere and at any point in the boot sequence from the initial BIOS splash screen all the way up to the desktop in Win7. I started thinking maybe it is...
