Windows 10 on X201 - Successful install
I am writing this post for those of you owning a ThinkPad x201 since I couldn't find a similar post anywhere, confirming a successful installation of Windows 10 on a X201. X201 is not in the windows 10 Lenovo supported system list as per the day of this post. The list is here Lenovo supported system...

Same problem here. I started to notice it just today. I am sure it was working two days ago. Last thing I installed was the ThinkPad Hotkey Features integration package setup version 3.30. It is happening after turning on the laptop from sleep state. So far I don't have more info (due to lack of tim...

Bad news. Behavior still happening.
Also since I bought my self a new laptop to replace my x100e I won't be able to keep posting on this topic, unless my new machine experiences the same behavior.

1- You admitted in your last post that you wanted a discount on an x120e. If that's the real reason for you "threatening" to tattle to a government agency then I think you are being very naive. Why? Let's move to Fact 2. Please read again. I didn't want a discount. I made suggestions of different c...

Uhmm. interesting suggestion. But I believe there is no much of an effect.
As a matter of fact I have been in the USA -Florida- (sea level) for the last 2 weeks and the uncomfortable feeling is just the same and high temperatures of the bottom of the case remains the same or perhaps a bit worst.

Submitting x100e overheating problem to the CPSC
I have questions (at the bottom of my post) for the x100e owners that are experiencing overheating problems with their machines. Re: Buy an X100e now?
Owning a x100e double core my self, I wouldn't buy one again not even at $289. Actually you will end up spending $30 or $40 more for more memory (1GB is not enough -just my opinion-). The overheat problem is #1 problem for me. Then the battery life. I would rather wait to see if the x120e solves bot...

For the first questions... No.
for the following

Got to Notebooks -> Thinkpad -> X series -> X100e
There you can select videos or documentation. Videos are very useful to understand how to disassembly the X100e.

Just for future reference regarding heat in my X100e, I used a infrared thermometer (a consumer one, not a professional one) to measure the external temperature of the bottom of my laptop and from its side vent. Caps Lock - Always ON screen icon. Tip-Solution
Hi. I had an issue with the Caps Lock being always on the screen when it was ON. That was something I didn't want to see. Fiirst of all use the correct sw to check the cpu temps. Eg speedfan. Most sw can provide wrong values. Then update your catalyst drivers to the 10.10 version (not to the 9.6 provided by lenovo updater) and your flash player pulgin and/or activex, you will find that even watching a 1080 video will ...

My X100e screen brightness is increasing by itself
It is interesting to see that when my X100e is connected to the power outlet, suddenly the screen brightness starts increasing by itself. It is like someone -not me- is pressing the bright-up key one step at a time every 2 or 3 minutes until the bar gets to 15. I haven't spent time trying to underst...

Re: X100e after two months use - wish I had never bought it!
Before I sell this X100e on ebay, I thought I'd try and restore the system to its original state - how it came out of the box - and start again (or reformat and put on XP Pro), but I can't find anyway to do this (no Thinkpad Button, and the info says nothing about how to do this!). Restart and pres...
