If you have replaced the LCD sub-board a few times, then it is unlikely all subboards have a broken microswitch, but is possible, goto ebay and pick up a decent looking subboard and replace it again, if that dose not work, then some thing else was oviously damaged when the power cord was snapped out...

I am not clear on the specs for the 770s, but if it is as advanced CPU speed at at least 366MHz (original factory CPU) then if you went to ebay, and picked up some PC66 128 SODIMMS then you should be fine.

Take the Hard drive, and smack it downwards onto your hand a few times, make sure your holding it right side up, and wack it down a few times. Sounds to me like you misplaced an arm in the Hard drive, you can also try spinning the hardrive on a hard flat surface. If that dosen't work, then freeze th...

There should be a tiny reset button on the left side, with a square symbol below it, get a small pin or needle and push the button to reset everything. That may help but no promises. It is also possible that the F1 key is not working. For windows 98 you must have a boot floppy. Hope that helps. Wiza...

To Fix the trackpoint you must replace the keyboard.

I have suceeded in replacing a track point from a nad keyboard (bad trackpoint) to my good keyboard (bad track point) but only for advanced Techs.

Ebay has them for about $40.00
