I perchased my T42 from the IBM refurb by my uncle works in IBM
T42-2379RHU:P M 745(1.8GHz), 512MB DDR333 RAM, 60GB 5400rpm HD, 14.1in 1024x768 LCD, 64MB ATI Radeon 9600, CDRW/DVD, Intel 802.11abg wireless, 1Gb Ethernet, Secure chip, Fingerprint reader

First TP I bought was from eBay, the 600E. After selling that one, I bought two T22 from eBay (one for me and the other for my friend). Sold both of them and now have the A30 that I bought from geeks.com. I've been happy with all the ThinkPads I've owned, including the current one. I kinda wish the A30 was a little lighter, though :|.
