I'm the second owner of a T40, still in warranty. I purchased a 5-year upgrade (to get 2 more years of coverage) and entered the info into IBM/Lenovo's website. I guessed the purchase date from the warranty date (as I don't know the original purchase date). I figured it didn't matter much.
Now, my "Registration Review" says:
15. Purchase Date Difference - registration has not been accepted because the purchase date provided is different than what Lenovo records indicate.
Yikes. What can I do? I thought the warranty followed the machine and wasn't tied to the original purchaser?
TIA.
