Lenovo preloads SUSE on ThinkPad T60p
Sounds like good news, ... I'm eagerly waiting for it.
With Linux preinstalled, we could hope for the proven keyboard layout
WITHOUT the Windows keys.
One side sentence I found quite interesing.
e.g.
better ergonomics (even less heat and noise emission),
a pivot screen,
a revolutionary battery technology,
true best-of-class energy efficiency,
... you name it ...

I'm really curious what this innovation in the portable market could be?"Lenovo can't sit on its hands," said Richard Shim, an analyst at IDC in San Mateo, Calif. "It's got to be more aggressive in terms of innovation, particularly in the portable market—that's its bread and butter."

Linux enthusiasts have been proclaiming a Linux revolution for some time now. I have been using Linux since RedHat V6, and with that in mind, Linux remains in a niche category as a decent OS for people who want or need its particular functionality. It does not serve my needs and there is no hint that it will anytime soon. Also, Windows for me is easier, every bit as reliable, easily made secure, and runs everything I need bar nothing. YMMV, and please use whatever you wish.Turbo Audi wrote:Linux revolution...yes or no?
