I ordered a 2379DXU on April 20th. It was supposed to ship by May 10th. Now my order page just says "call." My salesperson tells me that since that IBM estimates that it will be available to ship on May 25 (maybe). Is anyone else experiencing this problem?
Even worse, I'm buying the 2379DXU to replace the 2373L1U that I purchased in March. My salesperson has gotten the return date for the 2373L1U extended to May 27th. The problem is that I rely on my notebook for work. Plus, I'm in the Army Reserves and being sent to VA on May 27th and I have no mailing address before I get there. I'll be in school all day, every day, late into the evening. I won't have anytime available to ship anything out. All I can think of is that I keep the 2373 until the end of June and then return it. Has anyone had success getting IBM to make exceptions in these types of situations? Afterall, it's the Army I'll be on deployment orders and I have absolutely no control over my schedule. Argh!
