I need help buying my second-hand Thinkpad

Hello!

I recently decided I wanted a Thinkpad to use for my teaching job. I've been looking at second hand models to make sure I get something at a good price and with adequate features and many people recommend the T480 model. I also find the X1 Carbon interesting because it seems lighter and that seems important to me as I would be taking the laptop to class almost every day. However, the cheaper X1 Carbon only has 8gb of ram and for many users this is not enough.

I would like to ask you for recommendations and for you help me to get out of doubts. I would be very grateful for any ideas or suggestions.

On the other hand, I would also like to ask you for recommendations of stickers to change the keyboard to one that adapts to my language.

Thanks! I was asking about the stickers because the second-hand computers I'm looking at (at prices I like) come with QWERTZ keyboards.
