What is the best way to clean your screen?

Hi everyone,
I have several Thinkpads from the T2x/T4x/T6x lines, and I'm wondering if anyone has tips on how to best clean the screens! Some of them are fairly dirty, but I don't want to use any harsh cleaning products without knowing what I'm doing first. Typically I would just use a warm, damp cloth, but I feel like some of this dirt might need more coaxing.

Hi, other people may have other tricks.. but I'm wearing glasses and I'm using the same tools to clean screens which are intended for glasses.
There are special microfiber cloths for glasses and there are solutions for cleaning glasses, in London I can buy them at pharmacies.
Glasses have plastic lenses these days and sometimes have layers of coating on them.
I figured that cleaning products suitable for them should suit screens too.
Another advantage is that these bottles with cleaning solution typically have a sprayer on top which I find super-handy for cleaning computer screens.
In fact I did purchase some special kit for cleaning computer screens from Amazon or some brick and mortar store some 10 years ago.
It also includes some solution in a spraying bottle and a huge microfiber towel, so that's my backup kit.
In fact I'm doing the reverse now - I'm using that computer screen solution to clean my glasses.
It may have gone a bit stinky after 10 years, not sure..
It somehow feels that the solution specifically intended for glasses is "milder" and safer, but in practice I had no trouble either way - both my glasses and screens seem ok whichever solution I'm using.
The strongest solution I've seen is what they sell to clean camera lenses. It's probably closer to IPA. I've also used it on both glasses and screens and it also worked without issues. But I think solutions originally intended for glasses might be the best.
I think I tried damp cloth in the past and was very unhappy with the results - the smudges were pretty bad and needed to be cleaned off by one of the products mentioned above.
