CPU cooler heat pipe paint removal

Hello,

I would like to remove the black paint that is on my CPU coolers heatpipes, and take them down to their copper base. From what I have found online the black paint that seems to be standard on almost all heatpipes in laptops these days does little more than prevent the copper oxidising. Some people claim it helps with cooling but I have found nothing to back this up. Oxidisation is not something I am overly worried about as I have a laptop from 2012 that has the blank heat pipes, and they're still not showing any signs of colour change whatsoever. I also have a desktop PC with copper heatpipes running through the GPU heatsink which are very hard to miss, and they are also not showing any signs on oxidisation.
This is one of the few things I have in mind that I am not entirely sold on but I may do it regardless. If it doesn't look as I imagine it will do, I can always respray them as I have access to heat resistant paints suitable for metals.
