Thinkpad L580, trackpad buttons not working

Hello thinkpad enthusiasts,

I recently bought a refurbished/used Thinkpad L580 (2018). Everything is working fine, just the buttons above the trackpad (to be used to right/left click). The trackpad is working well. Is there a lock that could prevent these 2 or should I say 3 buttons from working or are they just done and in need of replacment? Is there a way to check if they are working and the system is just blocking them or what? I will check if the drivers I have installed are up to date.
