Lenovo all in one conversion

So I want to put a regular Mini ITX board into a all in one desktop, and i have been looking at a Lenovo M72 chassis. Is this doable?
e-Machine upgrade : mini ITX, I7-4790K, 16gb ram GTX-1050tiLP
Home Desktop: I5-2500k, R9 390X, 24gb ram, 14tb storage
X230t: I7-3520m, 16gb ram, 128gb msata ssd, 2tb hdd

If you got a dremel, time, and a whole lot of will power...then yes.

The efficiency of two screens equally sized with equal numbers if pixels are equal. The time spent by a 4:3 user complaining about 16:9 is proportional to the inefficiency working with a 16:9 display, therefore the amount of useful work extracted is equal.

Im mainly worried about board clearance

Just get a VESA compatible MiniITX case and be done with this. There is no point in modding an M72 when a much easier solution exists. Also look into MicroITX and NanoITX boards. What are you trying to do that requires a custom board?

Another issue is the video input of the screen. Even if it's eDP (Embedded Displayport) I've yet to encounter a motherboard with Displayport output; it's usually just HDMI.

The current case that is in I think is a vesa. It's an eMachine Mini case like you would see in somebody's office, but I crammed a gigabyte Mini ITX board with an i7 4790k and a GTX 1050 TI in it

The eMachine looks bigger and would make it much easier.

Just make a mount for a Shuttle X1 computer. Has a i7-7700HQ and GTX 1060 in a very similar form-factor.
