Touchpad: Scrolling problems with some applications

#1 Post by nipjack » Tue Nov 03, 2009 4:32 pm

Hi,

i have a T400 running on Windows 7 x64 with latest updates and drivers. Scrolling with the touchpad works in principle, but not with all applications. For example it is very annoying that scrolling does not work with netbeans. But with firefox or the windows explorer it does. Does anybody have an idea how to fix this?

Thanks,
nipjack

Finally I have found the solution:

I added according to http://mcoder.wordpress.com/2008/06/02/ ... -intellij/

to "C:\Program Files\Synaptics\SynTP\TP4table.dat" the following entry

; Netbeans (customized)
*,*,netbeans.exe,*,*,*,WheelStd,1,9

Before that I had to kill the 3 syn*** Processes and edit the file as admin. Afterwards I restarted the processes (a simple reboot would do the same).

Now everything works as I wanted :D

Yes, it works for a number of programs, iTunes being the biggest I can think of.
