Anyone used PC100 memory in a T23?
Anyone used PC100 memory in a T23?
Has anyone used PC100 memory in a T23 (I know it's spec'd for PC133). I'm wondering if I could use the PC100 sticks I from my T22 in a 128MB T23 I'm getting until I can afford some CP133.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Jonathan, I wonder if your PC100 is low density or high density. Perhaps the T23 will take low density but not high density PC100 (since one poster moved working RAM from his T22 to the T23 with success, what he used was necessarily low density).
The good news for you is that PC100 costs more on ebay than PC133, so you can do a sell/buy swap and come out ahead.

Hmm varying empirical results.... I guess whether a T23 will run on PC100 is either model-specific or a total crapshoot.
The good news for me (assuming it's model-specific) is that the model I'm getting is the same as the one tfflivemb2 was able to use the PC100 sticks in. We'll see....
People want to post their model numbers and results?

Some T22s will read a little PC133 but this is kind of rare.
Some 256MB memory modules have 16 chips onboard and are labeled PC133. These work in T20-22 AND T23s. Some are actually labeled PC133 on one side and PC100 on the other.
Aside from the few exceptions, T20-T22 use PC100 only and T23s use PC133 only.
