IBM T23 LCD strange "neon" problem

Hi guys,
I have a "strange problem". My lcd screen has a strange bright light at the bottom (as a neon light). If a press (bend) the back of the lcd is less visible. The rest of the display is ok, i can modify the brightness (altough the "neon" from the bottom also gets brighter).

Any ideeas ...

might be your backlight leaking or on its way out.
