T43 won't standby after connecting to network

#1 Post by chrisrusty99 » Sun Feb 28, 2010 10:50 pm

My thinkpad t43 refuses to go on standby or hibernate after I have connected to the wireless network at my school - it just says "preparing to hibernate/standby" but never does anything after that, and I am forced to turn it off the hard way. It always works fine every other time I tell it to - there's just something going on with that school network... anyone know what's going on?

Thanks

I would change schools if I were you!

Seriously though, you may connect to a mapped (school)network drive. Unmap/disconnect that first.
Lovely day for a Guinness! (The Real Black Stuff)
But I actually prefer Murphy's from Cork!
