general dusting and cleaning

I just took the palmrest out of my T30 to clean under it. It was pretty dirty/dusty. I put it back, and firmly connected the touchpad connector to the motherboard but now the touch pad and the trackball do not work. I managed to get the trackball to work by disabling the touch pad in setup. Any suggestions as to how to get them both to work like it used to.

You can download the Hardware maintenance manual from here which will show you how to disassemble and reassemble your thinkpad.

He already mistook X30x for T30; trackpoint->trackball is to be expected.
