USB Port seems to have stopped working on my T21

#1 Post by montyny » Mon Jan 09, 2012 10:11 am

Hello,
I've had a faithful T21 used sporadically. We've been using it for the last few weeks with a short usb extension cable and a usb wifi dongle.
About a week ago the wifi stopped working.

I've tried a USB hub and a USB mouse - both normally light up when in the usb port but not on the T21.

I'm guessing the port has died and there is nothing that can be done about it. I tried looking in the bios but don't see anything referring to usb.

Anyone have any thoughts on confirming the problem and better yet resolving it?

Thanks.

unless you use the PCMCIA slot for something already,
you could either obtain a PCMCIA wifi card, or else
a PCMCIA USB card.
the way up and the way down are the same (heraclitus)

And remember you have two slots. If the cards fit together (don't get in each other's way), you could put a USB on the bottom and the WiFi on the top.
