T21 not working

Hey everyone. My T21 has a strange type of behaviour: sometimes it suddenly stops with no activity and the screen freezes (sometimes it doesn't boot - I have a hard disk led on, then all together, then cdrom is making some noise. then it stays as is). Sometimes I face another situation: windows is loaded, and after this screen freezes, all of the 4 leds become off, . I have tested to use some keyboard shortcuts and I have seen that brightness controls work.
Can anybody help me with this problem?

Apart form the LED behaviour it sounds like it could be the HDD at end of life. You could read the SMART date for clues or boot from a Linux CD to prove the hardware is working.
