WLAN-card on T23: is WPA-PSK supported?

#1 Post by BigCatAndy » Sun Mar 14, 2010 1:21 pm

Hello @all,

recently I purchased on eBay T23 with WLAN-module (IBM High Rate Wireless LAN Mini-PCI Adapter with Modem). Windows XP told me, that this card didn't support WPA-PSK encryption (WEP only is supported). Is it true? Is there any way to make this card to work with WPA-PSK?

No there isn't. That card is WEP only.

However, Broadcom 4306/4309 cards (which are b/g and a/b/g respectively) work well in T23 and support all types of encryption.
