T60p question
T60p question
Hello, I bought a new T60p about 3-1/2 months ago. It has worked very well so far but seems to have one odd quirk. Once every 7 to 10 days the clock resets the time to 2 hours earlier than the actual time. I have reset the time in the control panels and it will remain correct for a few days and then reset itself again. Would anyone have any ideas on a fix for this? Thanks!

Check the following thread out:
Clock keeps shifting and Time Auto-update does not work
It's rare for a new machine but your thinkpad might require a replacement of CMOS battery.

Re: T60p question
Have you set the Windows time zone to whatever is correct for your locality?JalopyBob wrote:Once every 7 to 10 days the clock resets the time to 2 hours earlier than the actual time.
If not, you may have just changed the displayed clock time, and then when Windows does a periodic clock sync with a time server, it is resetting the time to a time zone which is two hours different from your actual location.
Cheers,
