T61 password missing

I received a T61 7661 WHQ 14” and I don’t have the password. I saw a method that involves removing the CMOS battery, waiting an hour, replacing the battery and rebooting. Anyone savvy on this? Or know of another solution? Thanks!

The only solution i know is short-curcuit 2 pins on the bios chip while pressing F1 (can't remember, but it's the "enter bios" key). The procedure is quite complicated, but it's well documented on the net, there's a post on reddit and you have to identify your mobo to find the correct chip and pins. Forgive me if i summarize, but for me it's almost midnight...
