Hi, joined this forum half and hour ago. Bought T60 several days ago in a (kinda) good condition. 3GB RAM, T7200, X1400 and 100GB HDD. I am curious about batteries for the device - where can i buy genuine (or, at least, simillar to original) battery for this device? I searched it on prom (ukrainian analog of ebay), ebay and aliexpress, but couldn't find simillar to the genuine battery with an 7.8k mAh capacity. Where can I buy an original (or simillar to 7.8k mAh) battery for this device? Thanks in advance!

There might be second hand or new old stock T500 main batteries that still hold a decent charge. Panasonic brand in particular has the best longevity.
UltraBay batteries which were used up to the T430s work with the T60.
Aftermarket and/or high quality recelling are the only other battery options.

I see you're from Ukraine, so chances are that you have some family or friends living in Wroclaw, Poland. There is a small company there, which deals with all sorts of batteries for different types of devices, also laptops. They do professional re-celling using quality Li-Ion cells. They also offer refurbished or re-celled OEM batteries. Try their website:
https://www.margo.wroc.pl. Here you have some options:

I am not affiliated with them, but I do have used their service, not once as they operate in my hometown. I've got their batteries in my X61, T60/61 both 14,1" and 15". Different capacities. All work fine, and hold real advertised charge still after at least couple years.

Hello,
I see that you want genuine batteries, however I would advise against it. They are likely to be at the very least several years old. While it is possible for them to still hold nearly a complete charge, it is likely that this characteristic will degrade sharply. From my experience, old-but-unused batteries have always done this and quickly approached mediocre runtime.
I have bought two very cheap aftermarket (not original) 9-cell batteries for my T60, and they both work very well. They both consistently give a few hours runtime. The only complaint I could possibly lodge is that one of them goes from 30% to flat within a few minutes, but I could have returned it and received a new one if I cared enough. I did not care because the overall runtime was still right around what I figured it should be.
I paid 16 USD on ebay each. Prices probably vary slightly but are widely availible for 20 USD.
If non-oem batteries are a possibility at all for you, I would highly suggest them, due to their being much newer and due to the price being almost impossible to beat. I would think that they should be available for purchase in multiple places online in your area.
HTH,

I bought all my new batteries from this website:

Nothing to complain about their service.
