My wife uses her T61p, generally without problems.

However, our favorite "TV" news site, americasvoice.news has stopped streaming on her T61p. Rumble, etc. stream no problem.

Americasvoice.news streams no problem on my X230T. Could it be the video/graphics chip version in the T61p is finally considered out of date by some streaming services?

In any event, what is an acceptable newer upgrade for the T61p? With a large screen desktop "replacement" somewhat like the T61p. Yes, I know we will lose the preferred aspect of the older T61p.

Not the newest greatest, but an older upgrade.

Kind of like I consider the X230T to be an acceptable upgrade from the X61T or X61?

T530 is of the same vintage as your X230T, with the same keyboard to boot.

Beyond that, you could try newer 15 inch models, though I'd suggest the T580 with 8th-gen processors as these have quad-cores as standard.
