Getting OSD to work in windows 7 t61

Hi,

I recently installed Windows 7 SP1 on my Thinkpad T61. After a bit of poking around I got all drivers working other than the on screen display, the icons that pop up to show you volume adjustment mute and other functionality etc. I installed Hotkey Features Integration for Windows driver package and despite there being a menu to adjust the OSD settings in the display menu, It does not seem to function at all.

Any pointers on how I can get this to work would be great.

Make sure vcredist is up to date, then reinstall hotkey features, go for version 3.81. The newer versions don't work properly on T61 and other laptops Sandy Bridge-era and older.

Thanks for the response. I believe I installed 3.89. I will try 3.81 and update vcredist.

Also just a heads up, the 3.81 version is the correctly working one on Windows 8.1 too, on a T60 (and I would assume T61). I remember spending so much time trying to figure out why my OSD settings were not displayed correctly, until I managed to find out that not all versions are compatible with newer Windows versions. Although I always assumed the issue was present only from Win 8 and upward, turns out Win 7 is already problematic in this regard.
