Hi all,
I'm looking to replace the two capacitors for my X31 (which doesn't power on at all) as per this guide: http://kuzyatech.com/fixing-an-ibm-thinkpad-x31 but instead of buying those parts (which will cost me approximately £25 UK including delivery) I was wondering which other thinkpads may have the same capacitors? On eBay there's plenty of for-parts machines (which DO power on), sometimes under £10 delivered - plus I'd then have a source of other spare parts should they be needed.
Of course, the most stable way would be to use new parts, but I then thought it'd be interesting if anyone knew which series / generations were most likely to share components.
Cheers
Steve
