Hi,
I bought a 4 cell battery from eBay. When I try to charge, Power Manager software shows that the battery is charging at 0.16 amp and needs 16 hours, 24 hours, it depends...to be fully charge.
The seller sent me another one, and this issue appears again.
Apart of these batteries, I have a pair of 8 cell batteries, bought in eBay from different seller and works perfectly.
Why the 4 cell batteries only charge at 0.16 amp?
Thanks in advance

Probably old stock batteries that self-discharged. The BMS (battery management system) is trickle-charging the lithium cells until it reaches a higher voltage (maybe somewhere between 2.5-3.0 volts).

Did you try to charge them overnight?

I don’t know if there are old stock batteries, but probably.
And yes, I tried to charge them overnight, during two days, and nothing. Only reach 70-80%, so you are probably right.
I should throw away both…but first I wanted to know if there is any solution here.
Thanks in advance

If they can consistently charge to 70-80% and power on the laptop, things are not so bad.

Yes, but it takes 2 or more days to charge to 70%

Use them and see how long it takes to charge them next time.
