Hello, I recently got an X220T and have noticed that it struggles to load even a single browser tab. The system experiences exceptionally long load times, making it one of the slowest laptops I have used.
System Details & Issues:
Power Supply: I currently do not have a battery and am using a non-original charger, which provides 20V according to the power brick.
RAM Configuration: The system has 12GB of RAM—one 4GB Samsung module and one 8GB module from a Chinese brand. I have tested single-slot configurations with both the 4GB and 8GB sticks, but there was no improvement.
BIOS Version: My BIOS version dates back to 2012.
Performance: Despite setting Windows 10 and BIOS to maximum performance, the laptop remains sluggish. For reference, I can barely run Warcraft 1 in DOSBox, even though I have seen videos of others playing far more demanding games on the same model.
Cooling: I replaced the thermal paste and cleaned the fan earlier this week, ensuring proper cooling.
Given these details, I am looking for suggestions on potential causes and solutions. Could the power adapter, BIOS version, or RAM configuration be contributing to the poor performance? Any insights would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

Lack of a battery and insufficient power from the brick may trip throttling on the part of the processor.
Recommend source a battery and an OEM power brick.
