Bought a secondhand Thinkpad X201t, have repair questions

Hello, I recently purchased a secondhand Thinkpad X201 Tablet. It works generally very well but I'm quite new to the community so I had a couple short questions about repairing the device:
  • First, What screws should I purchase, or rather, does the X201 Tablet use the same screws as the regular X201? I wasn't able to find screws specifically for the tablet or otherwise any information about which screws work with which models.
  • Second, does it make sense that the mouse buttons work but the trackpad and the two buttons below it don't? I currently have a stripped screw preventing me from opening the device so I can't look inside but the trackpad doesn't show up in the bios or otherwise function at all on Windows or Linux. I would think they would all be part of the same general "assembly" so if one thing stopped working everything would but I don't know how to find info on how those components work.
I really appreciate it. Thanks!

Welcome to the Forum.
Get the manual from the HMM-Manuals link above, it tells you which screw sizes are used where.
Many screws are interchangeable with other Thinkpads.
You need to remove that stripped screw first, then open the laptop to check the cable for the touchpad.

Thanks for the reply, I found the manuals shortly after writing the post but wasn't able to edit/reply to it while it was being approved. Many thanks!
