Hi guys, I'm using a Thinkpad T420 with Win7 64bit.
I've been having this problem for the past month or so.
Everytime I set the sensitivity of the TrackPoint in the UltraNav tab in Mouse Properties, it saves correctly but is forgotten once the computer restarts.
The sensitivity will go back to the default setting(slider will go back to the centre)
I have tried opening up the palmrest and reconnecting the connector to the motherboard. Still doesn't solve the problem. In fact I realised that before I tried this it only resets every 2-3 reboots but now it resets at EVERY reboot. Anyone has any ideas? :?

yea i have experienced the same issue in my own t420
specifically, trackpoint sensitivity goes to default and touchpad features need tuning again and again
suspect must be a driver issue

Your reply is 10 YEARS late...
How about checking the CMOS battery, it's probably (near) dead.

yea it is - are you saying ultranav settings are stored in some chip ?
not all settings are gone though that is why i thought of drivers...
