internal speakers very low volume...forced to plug in earphones

#1 Post by Ignorant » Fri Feb 05, 2021 1:11 am

Suggestions on replacing the internal sound speakers with noisy internal sound speakers ..please..
I just got my T400 opened up yesterday to know why the internal speakers were so timid. There was a lot of
dust which I cleaned to no avail. SO I need this help ...Can I tap some other internal speaker inside the laptop.
may be a tiny sound bar.!

Some folks have success soldering better speakers from modern smartphones to replace the original puny ThinkPad speakers. I'm considering it myself for Z61t, which is also terrible.

Were it IPad speakers that are normally advised? Something from old IPads. Though what OP complained about does seem more like a driver issue which would probably show up even with IPad speakers

The OP also thinks it as a driver issue but does NOT know alternatives. Happy to know that mobiles are good even after they become obsolete (within 3 /4 months). ..The sound..
those speakers are very pocket friendly for trials...
