R50e Error 0189 Invalid RFID & UUID = ffffff...

Issue : ERROR 0189 INVALID RFID CONFIGURATION INFORMATION AREA , UUID = fffff..ffff.fff value with Thinkpad r50e
Reason : I short circuited atmel chip to reset supervisor password which worked but resulted fff.f.fff uuid issue. R50e was working but had to press esc each time to pass error message and boot.
Solution : Downloaded HMD 1.89 from https://archive.org/details/i7tm38us and created usb boot disk with it. Booted from the usb and chosen Assign UUID option from the menu. UUID restored to 0000000000 with the first try and restored to its original value in the second try.
