I'm putting together a package of parts for one of our favourite YouTube retro computing people, but I want to validate the components before I send them out. Especially since the dock is heavy/bulky, and he only has so much space right now until his house gets repaired/rebuilt.
I've confirmed the ThinkPad Port Replicator II (74P6734) and ThinkPad Mini-Dock, Type 2878 (40Y8140) should be supported by the R31. I also have a ThinkPad Dock II Type 2877 (62P4547) but that only shows R-models R50-52. Since that's the heaviest piece (full internal power supply, plus a PCI slot) I'd want to confirm that one first.
I also have various CD/DVD/Floppy/HDD Ultrabay devices, but don't know which ones work for the R31 (often it's down to the contours of the case).
(some year I might get to VCF East early enough to sell the rest of my surplus parts)

Re: Docks/Replicators for R31
If they are ultrabay 2000, shown by the big brown connector on the back of the ultrabay device, I presume the R31 will take them.
Super cool that the R31 is getting love now. These were unremarkable, but as time shows the true quality of an object, the R has become the Remainder, and that is Remarkable.

Re: Docks/Replicators for R31
So the 2" wide brown connectors are Ultrabay 2000, and the smaller 1" wide (the same size as later SATA Ultrabay/laptop connectors) would be for a later Ultrabay. Of course, I can't find where I put my ultrabay floppies (or ANY of my 3.5" drives that aren't USB) at the moment. I've been reorganizing my parts so now nothing is where it used to be.
