I intend to use the monitor as my primary display (laptop screen is off) and in portrait mode so I can read an entire page without scrolling.
However I encountered an issue with the Trackpoint and touchpad.
Config 1: External monitor only, in Portrait mode; laptop display is turned off
Trackpoint and touchpad behavior: moving to the left moves the pointer up, moving to the right moves the pointer down. In other words, they act as though they're stuck in Landscape mode (rotated 90 degrees).
USB mouse behavior: works normally
Config 2: Laptop display enabled, set as primary, in Landscape mode; external monitor is enabled, and in Portrait mode
Trackpoint and touchpad behavior: works normally
USB mouse behavior: works normally
Config 3: Laptop display only, in Portrait mode; external monitor is disabled
Trackpoint and touchpad behavior: same as Config 1
USB mouse behavior: works normally
So, for some reason, the Trackpoint and touchpad don't like a primary monitor in Portrait mode.
Most likely it's an issue with the Ultranav drivers, since the USB mouse (which uses the standard Windows driver) works normally in all cases.
Has anyone encountered the same issue? If yes, have you found a solution?
