The Problem with the World Today

#1 Post by shawross » Wed Feb 20, 2019 10:26 pm

This video sums up why the world is in the position it is today. It is not solely a Democrat or Republican problem.

But why isn't it addressed?

I was about to jump on you to say that the "world problem" is not the donkey vs the elephant or the evil relationship between Israel the US and Saudi Arabia... but yet... it IS a world problem.

These entities are responsible for millions of deaths trillions of dollars wasted and the continued suffering and millions and global instability.

I did watch that 45 min video in the background and he does hit on many salient points however he glosses over many.

I think everyone knows that the US subsidies Israel to the tune of several billion a year - but that it supported by people who believe in that relationship between Evangelical Christianity and how Rapture is coming and therefore the Jewish state must be preserved so that in the event of the Rapture then they have done the right thing.

Further this it at odds with the anti-semitism of that far right.

I think everyone also knows that the billions that goes to Israel also ends back in US States that have defence industries.

What wasnt discussed was that odd relationship triangle that the US is some kind of mediator between Israel and Saudi Arabia. We all know that the Saudis did 9/11... we all know they are anti-semitic, to the degree that anyone who has been to Israel will have a hard time getting into Saudi Arabia, unless you're a US State Dept. official of course!

The way I look at these things is sort of how Jack Ma looked at it... how many billlions trillions have funneled into Israel and the US war effort.

This is US taxpayers money. How much of that money would have benefited the US citizen in the form of infrastructure health care education and all the other things that trillions of dollars could have paid for.

And in the end I feel like many issues, Brexit and right wing govt. and any EU Issue... this is your lot. You made your bed, you fix it. No one can fix stuff for you. Most of you guys have to hit rock bottom and lower until you can climb back up.

If people around the world are insulated from these activities and we can watch their issues from relative comfort then that's all we can do.

I sit around waiting for what will happen with Brexit and what I hope will be the downfall of the Trump Administration with that proverbial popcorn.

Keep in mind as well that since 1949 the USA has been the largest donor of aid to the Palestinian people, until changes made by the US government in the past year, when it was cut. Since the Oslo accords, the US has been giving about $0.4B/year, more than all Arab countries combined. Truman signed the first of these payments in 1949.
