And once you do that, you begin to realize how many "heavy hitters" have disappeared from the forum over the last few years...I would argue that the ThinkPads have lost *a lot* of their initial attraction to the long-time-users, but it could be just me being my grouchy self...

Crossed feathers: customer of Bill Morrow when he was still selling ThinkPads
Avatar: when you become either a Moderator or an Administrator.
Exception: superb and extensive posting is rewarded with an avatar as well

Congrats on your feather!
I had a sense of pride of me gaining this prestige for the first time when I got my first feather.
Prior to ThinkPads, I was an avid gamer during the GameScore of Microsoft Xbox Live & Trophies of Sony Playstation.
Of course my favorite game(s) at the time was Call of Duty online multiplayer so resetting your skills/weapons after gaining a certain rank gave you a prestige icon. I think I stopped after the 7th time, many many hours consumed in those games.

So naturally when I found out about ThinkPads I came here and happy soaked all information from this website.
I thought this website was odd because you couldn't set your own avatar image, considering all the other forums on how popular that feature was, it gave thinkpads forum a professional theme.
