audio drivers seem to be installed and all, but no sound from headphone jack either.

Any ideas

Make sure you haven't muted the speakers. I believe the proper incantation is Fn-Del, but look for the blue decal with a speaker and a slash.

If that doesn't get sound, make sure the volume control is not set to zero.

If both of these fail, you now need to start the hardware trek. Try replacing the speakers (the keyboard and speakers are one module).

If that fails (and that was my experience with a 660E) the solution becomes a System Board transplant.

I'd probably do a completely clean system install will all current drivers before buying hardware and swapping it out.

I think Fn+PgUp turns the volume up. Try that.

If that doesn't work, go into the bios and run the test on the audio system.
