Okay....I have a 770ED that in Easy-Setup is testing the USB port as okay, and windows device manager has the drivers and everything loaded fine.....problem is,it won't see anything put into it....???...at first I noticed one of the four connector pads was pushed back a little....so I took it all apart and pushed that one connector back...and they seemed to function perfect....you push down the pads and they were springy....but it still won't see anything put in.....if i kinda force it upward it will get a connection, then lose it,then find it....so its a bad connection in the port somewhere....
Does a USB port just connect through those 4 little pads????....Do they push down and have to connect to something underneath???..or do those pads just have to touch the ones on the plug on the device you insert???...
Thanks...

Greg:
The USB should recognize whatever you put in by itself. Then you may need to load a driver for whatever the new hardware is.
On my 770Z (and formerly on a 770X) it took a few seconds for the system to recognize the USB hard drive. The first time I had to load a driver. Then it works by itself.
If you are having trouble with USB devices being recognized, you may need to load an update to the software.
Hope this helps.
