E14 Gen6 Loading Indicator

Hello everyone,
I now have a new E14 Gen6. So far, everything is normal. When you plug it in to charge, the light first turns red and then eventually white. So it looks OK to me.
Now I have activated the battery “spare mode” so that the battery only charges up to 80%.
Since then, the light no longer turns white. So I have no idea whether the battery is currently at 40% or already at a full 80% when charging.
Is this the same for you, or is it some kind of error?

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum!

That is normal behavior.
The indicator turning white means that the battery has reached full charge.
Since the battery is no longer allowed to charge to 100%, it no longer turns white.

Can anybody say something about the benefit of 80%
is this only a marketing gag or is theere really an effort and should be done?

Limiting your charging to 80% will keep your battery healthy for a longer period of time.
For example:(This is all hypothetical)
If right now you get 4 hours of battery life starting from 80%, you may be able to get 3.5 hours in 2-3 years
But if you charged to 100%, you may now get 5 hours, but you may only get 3 hours in 2-3 years.

It's not a marketing gag, rather it actively helps you save money in the long run.
If you don't need that extra 20% of battery right now, you will be able to keep using your battery for longer.
