Frequent hard reset with X1 Carbon

#1 Post by mersue » Mon Jan 20, 2025 9:36 am

Hi,
My notebook is X1 Carbon gen10 which is connected to the docking station via the USB-C (Thunderbolt 4) connector.

The notebook falls asleep after making any cabling change with the docking station.
Examples are: Disconnecting the notebook from the docking station for mobile use or power failure of the docking station.
In all these cases, shutting down is not possible. I have to hard reset the device.

How can I avoid such frequent hard resets?
Does anyone have any advice?

Thx,
Mersue

Never mind. I think it's a Windows issue, rather than hardware. Try re-installing it.
X301: SU9600 | 8GB | 1TB | WXGA+
X1C9: 1185G7 | 32GB | 1TB | WUXGA | WWAN
X1Y8: 1365U | 32GB | 1TB | WUXGA
For the sake of ecology I donated all my classic Thinkpads.
