mSATA SSD compatibility with T430 & E520
mSATA SSD compatibility with T430 & E520
Hi, I'm thinking of buying a "Plextor M5M 128GB mSATA Solid State Drive (PX-128M5M)" for both my Thinkpad T430 & E520.
Can anyone advise me whether the Plexor M5M 128Gb mSATA SSD is compatible with these 2 Thinkpad models?

I don't see a reason it would fail to work.

Re: mSATA SSD compatibility with T430 & E520
Thanks ZaZ.
Out of curiosity, for mSATA SSD, are they all of the same size and dimensions (as in theoretically all brands should work in T430 & E520) or are there different sizes depending on the notebook models? (I thought I read somewhere that T430 harddisk need a slightly flatter 2.5 inch hard disk compared to other notebook models).

I think there are some different form factor mSATA SSDs, but you're not likely to see them for sale. Maybe it's different in Singapore.
Yes, the X230 and T430 use single platter 7mm drives, but they go up to 1TB, so you're not missing much unless you've got a whole lot of movies.
