to make it short:
ordered replace battery for T430
tracked on UPS side said delivered what was not true.
contacted Lenovo - arranged replacement
in time both batteries came.
NOW: Lenovo wants me to print the label (have no printer), go to UPS and return it back.
Is that my obligation? or they should send courier to pick it up.
Thanks for advice.
P.S. what if battery is faulty from the start? same thing?
both do not show any specification in battery details in Power Manager.

Re: Lenowo battery warranty issue
Ok, let me see if I can get this straight. Your original battery failed, and you ordered a replacement. The Subject line says warranty issue. Was the replacement battery sent because of standard warranty or extended battery warranty? Then the UPS website said the battery was delivered when it wasn't? Did UPS offer any explanation on why it arrived at a date later than when they said?lord jim wrote: NOW: Lenovo wants me to print the label (have no printer), go to UPS and return it back.

When I worked in that industry, that was exactly how things worked. The shipping company sends you the return label over email for you to print out. This was standard practice as that is how the UPS RMA program works for shippers that use UPS.
I would recommend printing the label at work, at a friends house, or at the UPS store itself. If you don't feel comfortable logging into your email on the computers at the UPS store, then you could upload the return label to one of the cloud file sharing services. You may be able to give them just the number from the label and they may be able to pull it up in there system to print.
It is my opinion that Lenovo is doing what they need to do to keep the customer happy. I myself would not be upset about having to find a way to get a return label printed.
So the original battery failed and now the replacement battery they sent you is also failing? What does power manager say? Battery Error? If Power Manager does not list any battery at all, then perhaps the battery connector on your motherboard is at fault.
Also, don't double post, the moderators here are not cool with that.

Re: Lenowo battery warranty issue
thanks for advise:
Power Manager does not show any details for the battery: i.e. cycle count, s/n, capacity a.t.c just blank spaces
electrically battery charges and discharges apparently as it should to.
This is an extra battery ordered 6 cell;
original ones works and shows all details in Power Manager as they should to., so I take it battery logics do not interface with the system board.
