T530 screen flicker

I have a new to me T530 and it has the screen flicker, im sure its not a driver as it does it on boot up and installing windows 7, i have reseated the cable on MB,
using the VGA port screen is fine.....

yes using the vga port with a desktop screen there is no flicker

Cool. I didnt realize that some parts costs have gotten outer hand even aliexpress want 144NZD for a FHD lcd 1920x1080
will the MB still run the higher Res screens ?
