T440s whitelisted wifi card of T440

I recently got a T440s but the ordering department got the wrong wifi card (RTL8192ee) which is not properly supported in Linux and doesn't sport Bluetooth 4.0.

I subsequently bought a new 7260-AC card, but this turned out to be the miniPCI-e version, apparently the T440s uses the m.2 form factor. After this I ordered a proper m.2 7260 AC adapter, but this was rejected by the bios because it was not an official Lenovo FRU (vendor lock in.....). I looked up several methods to bypass the whitelist, but apparently the bios can not be modified on T420+ systems, and inserting the card after the machine has powered on, while the grub menu was showing doesnt work either because the card is not visible to the OS after this. (This method could previously be used to write a different ID to the card, so I thought I might give it a try).

Last week I contacted my local IBM/Lenovo supplier. They can't deliver the T440s version (FRU 04W3809) but they claim the T440 part might work too (FRU 04X6007). However, this FRU is still not listed on the T440s FRU list.

After all this trouble I really don't want to order another wrong part, so can anyone confirm that the this part will work (or that the T440s and T440 share the same bios whitelist)?

There are two official Intel cards for the T440s listed:
04W3844 Intel Wilkins Peak 2 7260 2*2 11ac+BT4.0 M.2 Card Indonesia SKU
04W3845 Intel Wilkins Peak 2 7260 2*2 11agn+BT4.0 M.2 Card Indonesia SKU
You'll want the first AC one: 04W3844

No idea, ask those Lenovo morons who put these stupid whitelists in there!

I found it on a more recently FRU list of the T440s, and after ordering it, I can confirm that this works. Still annoying that the whitelist is there.
