Hi,
I have a nice X230 from Jacky modded with a 1440p panel. The backlight just went dead one day. It boots fine and I can see the picture if I angle the screen just right or shine a light into it.
I tried taking it apart and wiggling all the connectors I could find to make sure they make contact, to no avail.
What should I do? Is this the stock backlight, or did it come with the 1440p panel? I don't know anything about inverters, CCFL, LED, etc. Any pointers would be appreciated.
I took it to a shop and they couldn't figure it out (because it's a mod?)
Thanks in advance.

Check fuses. Maybe the adapter board has one.
AFAIK modern LED backlights generally can't be swapped out. So it's what the 1440p panel came with.

Check both fuses F1 and F2 for continuity (near the LCD connector on the motherboard).
They are both 3A/32V/Fast, usually have a letter P on them, and come in different sizes (most popular 0603), available from the likes of Mouser, Littlefuse, Bourns, Farnell, eBay, etc.
If needed, solder the new fuse on top of the old one (easier than removing the old one first).
