X250 power-on only using AC charger (battery out).

#1 Post by faneduru » Mon Mar 29, 2021 6:21 am

Lenovo ThinkPad X250, Windows 10, 64 bit.
It can only be started taking the battery off and plugging the AC charger.
After starting the Operation System, I can put back the battery and it recognize it in about 2 minutes. Starting from this point the laptop accepts restart only on battery, on battery and charger, too.
The battery is recognize as a good battery, it can be charged up to 100% and after powering the laptop on, in the way I explained it behaves normally.
If the computer is shut down, it cannot be powered on again without removing the battery and and plugging only the AC charger.
I updated the BIOS at 1.4 Version (2020), but nothing changed.
I set BIOS - Config - Power On with AC Attach as Enabled, but the computer does not start when the charger is plugged. With battery attached or without...
Went on Lenovo site, downloaded 'Lenovo Service Bridge', scanned the laptop and Battery health test/Battery Temperature tests passed. No any problem found.
Updated all recommended drivers.
I usually do not use this laptop, somebody in the company uses it. I usually repair such equipment if I can find something wrong. In this case I cannot understand what is happening

Thanks in advance!
