Audio problem chromecasting

#1 Post by jerry666 » Wed Jun 16, 2021 1:55 pm

Hi,

I recently bought a ThinkPad X260 full hd 16gb plus SSD. If I try and cast to a Chromecast or Google home speaker while running on battery I get hideous audio with stuttering, dropout and speed fluctuations. Video on the other hand appears to be ok.

Anybody experience something similar and if so what's the fix.

Thanks J

Are you sure it's not your phone or router to blame?
Tried both 2.4 and 5 GHz?
Lovely day for a Guinness! (The Real Black Stuff)
But I actually prefer Murphy's from Cork!

Thanks but I don't believe so. It all works fine with my bigger laptop.

Overnight I did a new install of W10 without Lenovo software. Although the standard power option still caused the problem I have now been able to use a custom power plan which works fine which I wasn't able to do previously. I'm thinking there's a hidden setting buried deep which reduces some power use on battery causing the problem.

Anyway I think the rebuild has given me a workaround which I'm happy with.

J
